Characteristics of Chromite sand AFS 25-35 for starting ladle mixtures：
  1. The specific gravity of chromium ore sand is high, which can reach 4.0-4.8g/cm3, and the self-weight effect of unsintered filling mixture is strong.
  2. The slag resistance of chromite sand is strong. It can prevent the erosion and penetration of molten steel.
  3. The chromite sand is a fast-chilling material. The sintering temperature is high, which can reach more than 1800°. The sintering layer of drainage sand can be formed and cooled quickly without affecting the solidification of the lower nozzle filling mixture. Thereby reducing the thickness of the sintering layer and increasing the pouring rate.
  4. The particles of chromite sand are sub-round, and there are no obvious edges and corners even after crushing, and the fluidity is good.
