How to control the fine powder in foundry chromite sand?

The particle size of foundry sand has a significant impact on the casting process. Foundry chromite sand not only requires uniform particle size, but also has requirements for fine powder content. Controlling content of fine powder is very important below 140mesh and 200mesh.

The presence of small particles can affect the strength, gas generation, and other indicators of the molding sand. Therefore, in the production process, we control the screening of AFS45-55 casting chromium ore sand, and the screening rate of 140 mesh does not exceed 1.5%. The fine particles sieved through 140 mesh are used as raw materials for chromite powder, ensuring that the fine powder in chromite sand does not exceed the standard.
