Characteristics
1. High refractoriness & thermal stability
It features ultra-high melting point, excellent high-temperature volume stability and low thermal expansion. It does not soften, melt or deform under high molten steel temperature, effectively protecting the tundish nozzle filler.
2. Excellent automatic pouring performance
With reasonable particle gradation and good fluidity, it forms a loose inner layer and slight sintered surface layer at high temperature. It ensures high automatic breakout rate, avoids oxygen burning operation and reduces steel leakage risk.
3. Strong slag corrosion & penetration resistance
Dense grain structure resists erosion from molten steel and refining slag, prevents steel liquid penetration and nozzle clogging, keeps continuous casting process stable.
4. Low impurity & stable chemical property
Low silica and low harmful impurities, chemically inert at high temperature. It will not pollute molten steel, suitable for carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel casting.
Application
Widely used as filling and drainage sand for continuous casting tundish nozzle, ladle sliding gate and ladle nozzle well block,starting ladle mixtures. It is an essential refractory consumable to improve casting efficiency and steel quality in metallurgical industry.
